Enterprise - Who else is out there ? How good are they?

[ Note: It's important to realise this is not a direct or personal attack at one's work and approach to design. It is merely a critique for personal reference for this task. Also writing down weaknesses is not easy as I feel none of the creatives have any, or noticeable from their design work ]

THREE DESIGNERS/ILLUSTRATORS:-

- Mcbess
- Eye of Providence Design
- Monorex

-------

MCBESS

STRENGTHS:-

- Strong, bold & iconic Illustrative style. Separates from other professionals.
- Attention to detail creates crucial flow and balance.
- Black & White used effectively, no need for colour.
- Multi-format Illustration, digital and hand drawn both used effectively and efficiently.
- Clear sense of layout, type and depth. Not just pieces of art.

WEAKNESSES:-

- Illustrations could become time consuming, increasing cost.
- Not to everyones taste, but I guess that comes down personal preference.
- Freelance could cause lack of a steady income, saying that I don't think McBess will be short of clients.
- Not using colour could limit potential clients, but that comes down to personal style.

EYE OF PROVIDENCE DESIGN

STRENGTHS:-

- Intricate pieces of traditional styled tattoo flash Illustration.
- Multi-functional. Primarily based for t-shirt design/band merchandise.
- Clear sense of passion to approaching each piece, nothing is rushed.
- Being freelance allows the artist to be approached by various briefs/bands. Creates a diverse portfolio.
- Unique style reflects traditional tattoo pieces but the style has been more forwarded.

WEAKNESSES:-

- Illustrative pieces could become time consuming and result in an increase of cost.
- Hardcore/Metal genre is not to everyones taste, possible loss of cliental, again this would come down to personal preference.

MONOREX

STRENGTHS:-

- Being a worldwide creative agency allows a number of opportunities to expand and create.
- Using street cultured art creates a different and unique direction to responding to clients.
- Taking on big brands and creating unique campaigns grasps the market in a positive manner.
- Not having a corporate style creates an edge to each piece of work created.
- Having a widespread team of artists at their advantage, allows an extensive contact base.

WEAKNESSES:-

- The exceptional uniqueness could result in potential loss of clients, but once again this would have to be down to personal preference.
- Events, pieces could become time consuming, increase in cost.
